Museum Volunteers
The museum staff gives their own time to maintain and expand this collection.
This collection is probably the finest collection of its type in the world.
The Museum Curator
Don Ostrand has been the curator and coordinator for the museum since 1985. Don
retired after 34 years with the phone company. He started working on the same
frame equipment that is now at the museum as a frame attendant. After working
his way up through the ranks to the position of staff manager. Privately, he is
also an antique phone collector and and a member of three antique telephone
societies.
Our Volunteer Staff
This is a photograph of some of our volunteers at the museum. It is their hard
and unpaid work that allows the museum to continue. The museum staff is a 100
percent volunteer organization. Virtually all the volunteers are retired
ex-telephone company employees from the following companies Pacific Northwest
Bell , US West, Western Electric and AT&T.
